This kind of crap absolutely should not be happening in our schools. Kudos to this teacher for speaking out!

Hey you spineless Republicans. You control both houses in Michigan. Reverse this stupid bill.

You're ruled by the Uniparty now. Nothing here but DemonRats and RINO's.

"We" have been without actual representation for many decades.

Onward, Christian soldiers!

This idiocy is an example of the low expectation of soft bigotry. The reviewers of this teacher need to be fired for being stupid. The kids need detention because this is unacceptable in any sane culture.

Insanity overflowing from North of the border.

Are you capable of teaching “professionalism” without detentions?

Is that punishment the only tool in your box?

Unbelievable. A good school teacher should reflect proper social norms and her actions in this respect teach behavioral norms of which chronically tardy children are unaware. The school district did not support this teacher because of it’s disrespectful for the teacher’s roll “in loco parentis”. The teacher is acting in the place of a parent and part of her mission is to enforce discipline and provide leadership in the classroom in a prudent way, which she did. And they definitely need responsible teachers in public education because

“According to the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) 2024 results, Michigan ranked 44th in fourth-grade reading, 33rd in eighth-grade reading, and 34th in fourth-grade math among the 50 states.” Just wonder if undermining good teachers is part of the problem. Hmmm.
