The quote, "The way to crush the bourgeoisie is to grind them between the millstones of taxation and inflation" encapsulates Vladimir Lenin’s revolutionary ideology and strategy to dismantle the so-called “capitalist class”. Lenin believed that the bourgeoisie, the cake eaters, exploited and oppressed the working class. Marxists believe there are only two classes and that nobody really moves up or down without massive, violent, revolutions. However, in the West people can get rich through hard work and they do it all the time. We also have the ability to run for office. So, it’s ridiculous of Lenin to believe there are only two unchanging classes. Nevertheless, most politicians love inflation and high tax rates. It helps them control the entire populace, not just rich people.
Here’s why the people at the top do not care about this issue. They have all the connections and they can easily borrow vast sums of money from the largest banks in the world. This means they can borrow new money BEFORE inflation hits. Money has to be spent for inflation to happen. We suffer from inflation as it moves on down through the system. I hope that makes sense, as this is a very complicated issue. Just to reiterate, the people at the top borrow money when it’s worth more. Then inflation makes the money worth less, which in turn makes it easier for them to pay back what they owe. We do not benefit from this as much because most of us are on fixed incomes and the money we make is losing value as fast as the money we owe.
Does anything of this sound familiar? The government made many promises to be our saviors during the pseudo-pandemic, but what did they actually do? They sent us a few hundred dollars apiece while they sent billions to Ukraine. Over $100 billion actually. I feel like history constantly repeats itself in this manner. When will people learn to not trust the government to save us?
