When Jimmy Carter became president in 1977, American students ranked 8th in the world in math and science, according to a report by the National Center for Education Statistics. The U.S. Department of Education was created by the Department of Education Organization Act, which President Jimmy Carter signed into law on October 17, 1979. According to the most recent Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) rankings from 2018, American students ranked 36th in the world in math and 18th in science. This mimics the war on heart disease, cancer, and drugs. Return all of education back to the States. 50 Experiments into what makes a great education is where to begin.

Certainly the majority of teachers are good people. I spent more than a decade as a teacher myself. But, the education system has much to atone for. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/has-media-ignored-sex-abuse-in-school/

Most of your comments or criticisms of my posts are non sequiturs. The name of the blog is "Unskool" so the focus is mainly on the education system and it makes little sense that I would discuss most of what you're complaining about.

The police kill about 30ish unarmed people per year. Parents sadly have a worst record with HD televisions and unattended bodies of water.
