The American Library Association Is A Marxist Petri Dish

I hear a lot of people asking, “How did it get this bad?” I used to be one of them.
Many factors led to the decline of the West. It’s a complex issue and the roots of the problem can be traced back to the Garden of Eden. But the internal rot has picked up momentum over roughly the last 70 years, like cancer on hormones. The growth has become exponential.
I used to be one of those shaking their heads wondering what went wrong. Not anymore. If somebody asks how it got this bad, I tell them, “It’s our fault. Yours and mine. We watched it happen.”
There are a great number of children — I’m talking seven years old and younger, walking around with smartphones in their back pockets. Parents equip their kids with what they think are safety devices; smartphones track the kids 24/7and parents can call or text whenever they like.
The nifty gadgets — though they are capable of the above and more — are Pandora’s Boxes that also expose kids to online predators, a universe of pornography (including unspeakable horrors like torture porn), and online bullying and social ostracization that doesn’t go away when the kid comes home from school, that never goes away — what do you expect to happen to the society that allowed this to happen?
For Worst And For Worst
When a self-proclaimed “Marxist Lesbian” is elected president of the American Library Association, telling your kid to ditch the phone and go to the library and read a book is like pulling him out of a burning house to throw him to the wolves.
Emily Drabinski is a self-proclaimed Marxist Lesbian and is the president of the ALA. After being elected in 2023, Drabinski posted, “Hey, I cannot believe that a Marxist lesbian who believes that collective power is possible to build and can be wielded for a better world is the president-elect of @ALALibrary."
Demonstrating her Marxist Lesbian worldview, when asked about conservative parents’ efforts to ban graphically sexually explicit material from school libraries, Drabinski responded by saying the parents’ attack wasn’t on the books but "attacks on children."
We’re not talking about books with racy scenes like Cather In The Rye or To Kill a Mockingbird. We’re talking books like Gender Queer and Not All Boys Are Blue. To claim banning these books from school libraries is censorship that leads us down a slippery slope to some kind of theocracy is hogwash.
Gender Queer is a graphic novel but it’s not a cartoon appropriate for kids and it shouldn’t be in school libraries. Anybody with eyes can see that. Gender Queer is obviously pornography:
** I put the inappropriate material behind a paywall so young people don’t see it. However, we should remember that this stuff is in schools! **
