California Has Gutted Its Public School System

Out with meritocracy, in with equity

Of all 50 states, California may be the most woke of all. The blue state consistently embraces far-left policies, declaring they’re the only viable option for a better, brighter future. Yet, the outcomes of these policies don’t line up with the fanfare. 

Americans have been fleeing California in droves, thanks to sky-high taxes, the homelessness epidemic, and unaffordable living costs. Democrats, like Gov. Gavin Newsom, have a litany of excuses to explain this away. They regularly point the finger at conservatives, but none of these antics change the facts. 

On all fronts, California is failing and falling further behind. The latest example of this comes from the state’s horrendous public school system.
