I don’t agree about unions. Because I saw how unions can benefit the workers if you have good people making up the unions. My mom and dad were both working for companies that had unions and my mom was a vp of the union, who got the head of her union fired for corruption and being in bed with the company. My dad was a union steward and he fought hard for the guys in the union. There is a lot of history about unions good and bad. But ultimately it’s who makes up the unions. What kind of people are they? Like anything, as we’ve seen with the teachers unions if woke ass bullshit is their agenda, which it is because they are being funded by the likes of Warren and democratic failed policies, with our tax dollars then they just keep feeding the machine. The teachers unions NEVER should’ve been allowed this power they fail good teachers and have worked to influence kids and society. Why do superintendents make so much money but fail the kids. School boards corrupt sick on the power they hold when we are their bosses!!! This is what’s been forgotten. The teachers unions fail the good teachers and do not protect them. It should be given back to the states. But government has grown far too big and it’s impossible for hard working class, that is being pushed into poverty to keep an eye on the corrupt that is infiltrating our governments. Getting rid of unions will not fix this. We also need something to leverage ourselves with, with these corrupt companies.
Public unions are a different animal than private business unions. Public pit the worker, say teacher, for example, against the people paying their salaries. We pay the teacher more because they're unionized, and also they have those pesky dues to pay. So, those unions are in business to force up your taxes to pay teachers more, and also to keep the unions afloat. Why? Is your community school system evil and greedy? Do school teachers require safety be maintained, schedules followed, etc. that would not occur without union oversight?
Public unions are for one reason only, and that is public unions. It should not be at our expense. Elimination of the unions would not affect the education system (used loosely) in any appreciable way.
