Pete Hegseth just cut off every military education, fellowship, and certificate program linked to Harvard University effective with the 2026 to 2027 school year.

His explanation was four words.

Harvard is woke.

Former Congressman Matt Gaetz and Representative Brandon Gill just said what millions of working Americans have been thinking for years.

Socialism (on the left and fascism (on the right), despite seeming worlds apart, share an uncomfortable amount of common ground.

As a result, they have been converging ideologically, according to a growing number of analysts who identify this trend as a form of “horseshoe theory.”

The theory describes the way ideologies that seem diametrically opposed can eventually converge into a single point of extreme authoritarianism.

In recent years, socialists and fascists have increasingly found common ground. As such, there has been an increasing tendency among them to adopt similar tactics in order to further their agendas.

For example, both groups have developed a strong aversion to free markets, and many advocates of both ideologies advocate for significant restrictions on freedom of expression. This trend has become so pronounced that even critics of socialism and fascism are now beginning to take notice.

Deskooled is Highlighting the Theory in Action

One critic, Deskooled, recently highlighted this phenomenon in an article on X. He specifically used Nick Fuentes as an example of someone who embodies the extreme right wing, yet also exhibits traits associated with socialism.

Deskooled explained that while Fuentes may appear to be promoting a very nationalist agenda, he ultimately seeks to impose his will on others in much the same way that socialists do.

According to Deskooled, both socialism and fascism are based upon the idea of imposing one’s values on society through coercion. While socialists often use economic means to achieve this goal, fascists typically rely on violence.

Regardless of which method is employed however, both ideologies aim to limit the freedoms of individuals in favor of establishing a highly centralized authority.

Connecticut state legislators are willfully plotting to take away control of your child’s education completely out of your hands. I am not kidding.

In all seriousness, this is exactly what has happened with regard to the recent legislative assault on parental rights.

There is one bill that has been getting attention lately — thanks to education freedom warriors on X. This bill is attempting to clamp down further on parents who opt-out of the traditional public school system.

Specifically, the bill is seeking to establish additional regulations for homeschooling and other non-traditional educational options.

**They Gave Elmo a Racism Re-Education and Thought Nobody Would Notice.**

Sesame Workshop partnered with CNN to air a town hall called Coming Together: Standing Up to Racism. Elmo sat with his dad Louie while a grown man explained to a red puppet that people of color are being treated unfairly across the country because of how they look, their culture, race, and who they are.

Then they introduced two new Black Muppets specifically to teach toddlers the ABCs of Racial Literacy. Elmo asked why Wes had brown skin. The answer involved melanin, identity politics, and a song about being an upstander to racism.

Elmo was five years old. Fictional. Made of felt.

They gave him a racial justice curriculum anyway.

For more than fifty years Sesame Street taught children to read, count, and treat people with basic kindness. It was one of the few things in American culture that belonged to everyone regardless of politics. Then the same people who turned every other institution into an ideological vehicle decided Sesame Street was too valuable to leave alone.

Imagine a classroom where children learn more about gender fluidity than how to do fractions. Parents throughout America are realizing this nightmare exists, and they’re fed up with participating.

The numbers are in and the education establishment does not want to talk about them.

Public school enrollment peaked at 50.8 million students in 2019. The National Center for Education Statistics now projects it will fall to 46.9 million by 2031. That is nearly 4 million fewer children in a system that built its entire budget around keeping them there.

Ten states have already seen declines of more than 5%. California alone is projected to lose nearly 1 million public school students by 2031. Oregon, Colorado, New York, Hawaii and New Mexico are all staring down double digit losses.

Meanwhile 150 Chicago schools are operating at half capacity. 47 more are at one third capacity. Districts across the country are closing buildings, cutting staff and begging state legislatures not to cut funding for students who already left.

The system spent decades telling parents there was no alternative. Then it spent a decade pushing DEI, gender ideology and critical race theory into classrooms while test scores collapsed. Parents found alternatives.

Gatto saw it coming. The institution was never designed to serve children. It was designed to produce a specific kind of adult. Parents figured that out and started leaving.

Connecticut wants to make them ask permission first. Texas just paid 274,000 of them to go.

They built it. Turns out families did not have to come.

How progressive.

This is no fringe experiment. For many years, South County High School in Lorton, va has been pilot-testing the AP African American Studies course. As part of their coursework, students organize “black joy family reunions,” which include games, music, and conversations surrounding how macaroni and cheese represents cultural strength. The students’ teacher, Sean Miller, describes the class as providing a “holistic” perspective. Translation: if the numbers do not appear to be strong in calculus then switch gears and provide an environment based on joy. The College Board released its national framework for AP African American Studies, and Virginia schools immediately implemented the program, including those identified by governor Youngkin’s executive order as teaching divisive concepts.

The message to every black student who is working diligently to achieve academic success in legitimate ap courses is that their academic excellence means nothing until all others are given a level playing field by artificially lowering the bar.

However, the affront to academic integrity does not stop here. This is the same system that spent years promoting critical race theory lite, implicit bias training, and affinity groups that divide children based upon their racial/ethnic backgrounds. For example, a Rhode Island district’s “african american studies” curriculum appears to be an activist’s playbook — outlining “white affinity groups” and “black affinity groups” for teachers. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that authentic learning is secondary. Public schools are not failing by mistake; they are failing by design.

What type of education teaches a child that his/her race allows them to have an easier road to academic success?

Further, when you consider the results of Decades of attempts at “fixing” inequities via so-called “equitable practices”, there has been no closing of the achievement gap in core subject areas. Naep scores, SAT results, graduation rates – all of these metrics reveal a picture that is both dismal and consistent. However, instead of identifying and fixing root cause problems — i.e., fatherless homes; cultural celebrations glorifying anti-intellectualism; the monopoly power held by teachers unions protecting poor quality educators — bureaucrats create participation-trophy advanced placement.

“Black joy” class is not empowering. It is a participation trophy with college credit attached.

Parents in Virginia have seen this coming. The state had previously evaluated the ap course due to concerns that it was another example of the same woke indoctrination that transformed history into grievance studies. Yet the class remained intact albeit with minor modifications. Why? Due to the fact that the education cartel places greater value on emotional gratifications than factual knowledge and racial bean counting over actual merit.

While Asian and white students continue to dominate the difficult ap courses (with no need for special racial accommodations), no One creates “Asian joy” electives to enhance their numbers. They remain competitive and succeed because they operate within the same parameters as all other students. The quiet racism inherent in the assumption that black students cannot compete unless provided with special racial accommodations is undeniable. That is not anti-racism. That is the new segregation.

Similar examples of “culturally responsive” curriculums can also be observed nationally, each being presented as a vehicle for justice yet ultimately producing mediocrity. Teacher colleges produce activist-instructors rather than teachers-instructors. Federal grants reward districts that meet diversity quotas related to ap enrollment, regardless of whether students learn anything academically challenging. Ultimately, a generation of students with impressive-sounding transcripts but little-to-no academic skills is produced.

This is not helping minority kids. It is destroying them. Employers and colleges recognize through the facade that a “black joy” ap credit signifies lower expectations than any standardized test score ever could. The students most targeted by this nonsense will become resentful; underprepared; trapped in cycles of failure from which real education could liberate them.

However, things take a darker turn when considering the motivations behind these programs. The architects of these programs understand exactly what they are doing. They are not confused about the data; they are not idealistic misguidedness. What they are creating throughout america’s public schools extends well beyond a single silly elective in Virginia; once you see the full blueprint followed by these programmers — you will never look at a school board meeting in the same way again.

There has always been a clear solution to address the issues described above. Remove the race-based shortcuts. Demand excellence from all students regardless of background. Return parental control through school choice options such as charter schools and home school options which work. Some push back has occurred in Virginia, but other states must follow suit.

Public education was supposed to be the great equalizer. Instead, it has become america’s great dumbing down machine — funded with your tax dollars & protected by politicians afraid of being called racist when reporting truthfully on how bad things really are. Black kids deserve better than pity classes & lowered bars. Every american kid does.

The “black joy” experiment is cute nothing else — condescending; divisive; deleterious. It’s time to call it what it truly is — educational malpractice disguised as virtue signaling — & time for parents to fight harder before the joy brigade turns every classroom into a participation trophy factory

The National Home Education Research Institute has been tracking homeschool outcomes for decades. The data is not close.

Homeschooled students score 15 to 25 percentile points above public school peers on standardized tests. Consistently. Regardless of the parents’ income or education level. They go to college at higher rates and graduate at higher rates.

There are now 3.4 million homeschooled students in America. That is 6% of all school age children and growing every year since the pandemic.

Meanwhile Connecticut just tried to force parents to notify child welfare agencies before pulling their kids from public schools. The system that is losing families by the millions wants permission slips before you can leave.

The public schools spending your tax dollars on DEI administrators and gender curricula are scoring around the 50th percentile. Homeschooled kids are scoring in the 65th to 80th percentile range. Without certified teachers. Without $19,000 per year in taxpayer funding. Without any of it.

University Of Virginia Professor Spends Class Time Glorifying Hamas Terrorists; Urges Students To Violently Overthrow America’s Government

A professor at the University of Virginia is telling college students that picking up a gun “sets you free.” Not metaphysically. Not historically. Literally. He teaches this way. That is where your tuition money goes.

Professor Khaled Abu El Fadl has identified himself publicly as a “guerrilla scholar,” and he was caught on video making an unmistakable recruiting pitch for violent revolution. He uses the writings of Frantz Fanon, the anti-colonial intellectual favorite among radicals on campuses across the United States, to explain why someone becomes “liberated” when they pick up a gun. His purpose in teaching is to instill that idea in the students before him.

He is not limited to abstract concepts. He relates them directly to contemporary events. He frames the October 7th attack by Hamas against over 1200 Israeli civilian lives as a “historic decisive blow,” and frames both Hezbollah and Iran’s Islamic Revolution as misunderstood acts of resistance. Anybody who views Hamas as a terrorist organization is nothing but a product of imperialist disinformation, according to his teachings.

Therefore, what does he encourage students to do?

“We need to smash the U.S. settler-state,” he says matter-of-factly. Smash it. Not reform it. Not protest peacefully. Smash it. He tells his students and colleagues that they need to disrupt “the flow of arms to Zionists,” take a stand with “armed resistance,” and sacrifice themselves if necessary. He even states that the University of Virginia remains “a plantation” and admits that he has made an effort to try to “run down the wheels” on using the school’s institutional assets as long as possible.

His classes have been reported to his administration for their content. He responds with a shrug. He knows what kind of work he is doing. He intends to continue doing it. If getting fired would confirm that he is truly a guerrilla scholar, then that would only prove what he already knows.

What does it indicate about American Universities that he still has a job?

This is the logical conclusion of decades of ideologically driven capture in higher education. It did not occur suddenly. It occurred through a series of faculty hires, curriculum changes, development of Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI) offices, and radical pedagogy conferences — until the institution became an instrument of promoting the same ideology that it was intended to critically evaluate. The professor is also a member of a Faculty for Justice in Palestine chapter and openly promotes spreading this course material into other professors’ classrooms across the nation.

Campus First Amendment groups will claim this is simply one professor, or one video, or just one extreme example. They have said this for thirty years, while simultaneously allowing the extreme example become mainstream. Right now the anomaly is not the guerrilla scholar advocating for violent revolution. The anomaly is the professor who believes his role is to educate students on how to think rather than what to think.

Parents are taking out second mortgages so that their children graduate from college and are convinced that grabbing a firearm constitutes liberation. College graduates leave with $100K+ in student loan debt and believe their home country, which they pay taxes on, is a settler colony worthy of violent rebellion. The University promised students that they would learn critical thinking skills and instead provided students with radicalized indoctrination that included a degree upon graduation.

The professor concludes his comments stating that we are living in a historic moment — one where the question of violently overthrowing the world-wide imperialist system is being taken seriously for the first time ever. He is right — there is something major happening. However, the significance of this event is not what he believes it to be. More and more families are viewing what colleges offer for their financial investment and deciding it is not worth it.

The guerrilla scholar is running down the wheels on the institution. It appears that many people outside the institutions are perfectly happy watching that happen.

Texas launched its new Education Freedom Accounts program earlier this year. More than 274,000 families applied. There are only about 90,000 spots available.

That is not demand for a program. That is a revolt.

On the very first day alone, 43,000 applications came in.

Nearly three times more families want out than the state can currently afford to help.

The same school system that spent the last decade pushing DEI curricula, gender ideology, and diversity administrators while test scores collapsed just watched 274,000 families say, no thank you in writing.

The truth about Netflix can be found by simply looking at their majority shareholders. At the top of the list? The Vanguard Group and BlackRock Inc.

Surprise, surprise! BOTH of these shareholders have long supported woke Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). These metrics, radical by nature, are often used to determine how sustainable, ethical, and risky a company seems.

ESG is a nightmare, though.

Using this as a barometer consistently hurts free market capitalism. ESG also forces woke ideologies into business investments while distorting financial markets.
